During his first visit to Israel since assuming office, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy has called for a ceasefire in Gaza. Lammy, speaking with the Israeli President, said, "I hope we will see a ceasefire soon and alleviate the unbearable suffering and loss of life we are witnessing in Gaza." Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the death toll in the region has risen to at least 38,664 since the start of the conflict. On the other hand, Hamas leader Izzat al-Rishq confirmed on Sunday that the movement has not withdrawn from ceasefire talks with Israel.
