The extremist, who has not been publicly identified, was seen on video footage walking into a public square in central Stockholm and setting fire to a copy of the Koran. He then proceeded to walk away from the scene without saying anything. The incident was quickly reported to police who arrived at the scene shortly after.

The burning of the Koran is considered an act of desecration by Muslims around the world and is seen as an insult to their faith. In response to this incident, many Muslim leaders have spoken out against it and called for justice for those responsible. The Swedish government has also condemned the act and is currently investigating it as a hate crime.

The incident has caused widespread shock and outrage among people from all walks of life in Sweden and beyond. Many have taken to social media to express their disgust at what happened and demand justice for those responsible. There have also been protests in several cities across Europe in solidarity with Muslims who are affected by this incident.

This is not the first time that such an incident has occurred in Sweden or elsewhere in Europe. In recent years there have been several other incidents involving burning or desecration of religious texts, including copies of the Bible and Torah. Such acts are seen as highly offensive by many people around the world regardless of their faith or beliefs, as they are seen as attacks on freedom of religion and expression.

It is important that we stand together against such acts of intolerance and bigotry wherever they occur, so that we can ensure that everyone can practice their faith without fear or intimidation. We must also remember that such acts do not represent all people from any particular faith or background but rather only those individuals who choose to commit them out of hatred or ignorance.
